Fished the Satsop yesterday with my Father and two brothers. Picked up a good deal on a boat ride for the group, so we thought we'd try to get our first Steelhead. Out of the four of us, none of us had ever landed one. Anyway, we went 4 for 4 over the course of the day with my father being the only one to go without a fish. Kind of slow but a lot of fun. Used white and pink jigs early then transitioned to pink and black/purple and black once the sun got higher in the sky. All the fish were crome bright. River clarity was very good with at least 4ft of visibility.

nice native hogg!, gotta love them! fYI some people don't like people holding them out of the water, and its in the regs that you cant legaly hold a native out of the water

No problem, we all learn somehow. I take it you were with a guide from the comment about a good deal on the boat ride, if this is the case HE should have informed you about the regs, Guides that don't teach their clients do us all a disservice. Nice fish, though. Bob R.
