Arrived at Reiter around 12:00 and was surprised to only find about 8 other rigs there. On my way down to the river I talked to two passing anglers that said they had only seen one fish caught all day. That didn't discourage me to much because we've all had days that the bite didn't get good until the afternoon so I thought maybe I'll be right on time. Not the case at all though. Out of the 10 other people fishing nobody had touched a thing. After a few hours a guy flossed one about 3/4 way across the river with a piece of cerise yarn and that was it for the day. I guess Jake Darling caught all the fish up there the day before when he went 1 for 9. I saw Joechiro30 up there and he didn't have any fish on the bank and was having no luck so I figured if he wasn't catching that there was just a shortage of fish for the day. It's still always nice to fish this river because the scenery is so nice and the anglers respect that river for the most part so there isn't tons of trash everywhere and people are friendly.

Accurate report, exactly what I witnessed. I spoke to the caretaker, and zero new fish were in the holding pen.

Yeah I should of stayed home..almost always when the water is on a moderate rise the bite is usually right...most of the fish caught were drift fishers which I believe were probably flossed...i snagged a fish with my little jig a scale was on the hook so I know the fish were there...so dont be discouraged at all for not catching one...my first time getting skunked since thanks giving weekend lol...but I know its because the conditions were really tough...one guy got one with a bobber and jig right below me...i believe I got a solid take down but didnt set the hook on time...i knew I shouldve went on friday oh well I cant catchem all...next time when the water is rising like this after some serious snow im probably not coming out fishing especially wen its saturday...it was beautiful out there though and wasnt a complete write off...you'll get one next time
