Fished N.Fork Stilly yesterday morning. Weather was bad, and river was blown out so I didn't expect anyone to be out. I actually was debating turning around for a day of video games after seeing how high the river was at the Cicero bridge and Oso. Got to the Fortson Hole around 9 and there was 1 other truck in the parking lot... I guess I'm not so crazy afterall. Water was super high, and only about 2-4" vis. max. Floated spawn sacks in pink and chartreuce under a float for about half hour then bobber down. I set the hook, but nothings there and baits gone. I move to a different spot and another 20 mins goes by and bobber starts to move. I set the hook and this time fish on. I saw a bright flash so I knew it was chrome, and not a chum like we have been catching. Managed to keep the fish out of the logs and my 8lb line held up and landed her. Nice bright hatchery hen 24" long. The guy above me caught and released something too, looked like a bright chum. Overall, a real good day for me considering the water, and weather conditions. The pic with the fish next to my rod if from yesterday, and the other one is from earlier this month.
