Took a friend to the Green yesterday to break in his new rod and reel on some chums. Went near the golf course to check out some spots and finally found a spot with some chum in it. Caught 3 in the hour and a half we were at that spot. Two bright hens and the small buck in the photo. Friend got one so the skunk is off his new equipment. I have caught around 15 chum out of the Green so far this year and have had only one really decent fight out of the bunch of them. Most, if not all have been in good to decent condition but not good fighters at all. I remember days in the past on the Sky where I would get tired after battling a few chum and had trouble bringing them in on a flat shore. I think "jumping jim" raised the same point in an earlier post and I have to agree so far this year. I do remember some epic battles on the Green in previous years about the same distance up stream so I wonder what is up this year.

Great report. Interesting to hear your take on the fighting. I have never really fished the green in previous years but the chum I have caught from other systems just seem like a much different fight, I missed getting out over the last week but plan on making an outing sometime this week!
