Floated the Humptulips on Thursday with a friend and his son who is a guide. Lots of fish in the river but we were targeting kings primarily. I caught a 22lb chinook 30 minutes into our fishing in the helicopter hole using a float with eggs setup. There were 8 or so boats in the hole and only 3 chinook were caught so I was feeling pretty lucky. As we worked our way down the river we would switch up and fish for coho. We caught several cohos but they were either wild or too colored up to keep. We also caught lots of chum in various colors from chrome to uber dark which were also released. Missed a couple more kings after bobber down so were thinking we would only get one but in the second to last king hole we hit my buddy nailed one on the first cast into the hole. This one tore the place up for 25 minutes before it was landed. An 18lb buck that was in great shape. In the last hole his son hit an 18lb hen on his first cast that was very bright with sea lice attached. Instantly the day became a 5 star day because we all got our kings. Fished from first light to darkness so it was a long day but well worth it. Attaching a pic of my fish.....
