I have been fishin the Carbon the last few days and have'nt seen any fish so I went down to the Puy now that the crowds are gone. Started at bike track caught a scappy little sea-run cut on a green jig and missed a few others. Moved down to the bridge where 162 crosses over and walked up the river caught a decent pink buck on a pink jig and caught a nice hoho about 6lb on a pink jig also. I only saw one guy walking back to his car, he said no fish for him.
I was free simming the jigs the whole time(1/8th oz.) just cast straight out or down river just a little bit. Let it sink until you feel it tick the bottom then twitch it about 6in. at a time.
I went to hatchery yesterday and they have only recieved 2000 silvers. Early estamites were 54500 so I hope there is plenty more on there way! Good luck.
