Tackle: Blue Fox #3 Silver/Chrome Purple Classic Vibrax
Bait Used: Gary Yamamoto 4" Single Tail Rootbeer w/Gold Flakes.

Not a bad day at all. Hooked 3 but only took home one. The girl pictured was the first catch of the day and a keeper. The other two, one male humpy snagged on the back fin (he had some bad skin splotches) and the other female snagged right by my feet on one of the bottom fins. Both of those were released as one fish is more than enough for me and my wife this week.

The Green River seems to be a good learning and testing place for any creative spinners that I come up with. I think I will be heading there until I get my collection of flies together.

Kinda curious on what the meat looks like on a pink like that? What do you do with it?

Hey thanks for the comments. It is late in the season and she had to have been through hell and back. She was cleaned and made ready for the grill today. So far the meat looks good but I need to do better. So I am planning a getting away may be over to Raddle Snake to test out my fly fishing skills with a spinner rods and real. As well as learning my Blue Fox spinner gear. The is all new to this mid western boy but I will get it.

Just a heads up if your talking about Rattlesnake Lake it is catch and release. Good work on the green. You should have some luck with that spinner for silvers, I'd skip the worm on there.

Hey Urban Angler - I know we were razzin you a bit over your fish but I am curious did you take any pics of the meat? You neva know. I pulled out a chrome steelhead from the nooch this weekend that had the crappy other white meat, while I had a semi red coho that turned out to have some nice firm pink meat...

I didn't take any photo but I can tell you that the meat was firm. When I cleaned it for the grill I check it. Color was a little light but still a good color. I am kicking my self for not learning how simple it is to make salmon roe both for bait and eating.

Haters gonna hate; nice catch dude! You should definitely cure your own eggs if you like to fish with them. The powdered cure is like $6 a jar, which is enough for like 15lbs of eggs! Thanks for the report!
