10/12/2011 10:29:00 PMNice job! I havne't gotten one with a jig yet, I've definitely tried when they were there. Are you fishing the upper or lower Green? Haven't seen anything on the lower Green for a couple of days.

I guess floating jigs works ok for steelhead but I have no luck with coho under a float mainly because they are not interested in the jig unless they are held up, when they are on the move the jig is not the weapon of choice.

10/14/2011 12:35:00 PMOf course they are not going to get bigger. I think that for the most part people toss them back because they want a prime fish for either eating or smokin. Jacks don't have much meat and honestly once filleted they are pretty wasteful. If I am going to use a slot on my card it is not on a jack unless that little guy is big enough to serve up. In general I don't keep fish unless I am going to eat them. The few times I keep jacks it is either cuz I am camping and they do make great pan fish or because a friend wants to take one home, or if I am on a river where DFW wants them gone. Then I will do my part to help out. But on the green that is not the case.
