I was lucky to hitch a ride Sunday on my buddy's drift boat to go chase silvers on the Snohomish. We had heard reports that Saturday was a bust with very few fish seen or caught but we were confident that there should be lots of fish. We put in at Cady and started trolling plugs upriver from the launch. We hit a fish right away but it popped off.....darn. About a half hour later Pete hits a fish on a plug and we landed it. 8 pounds and very bright. After some more trolling we anchored in several spots and started casting dick nites. Not much happened until around 11 am when the bite suddenly turned on. Fish rolling everywhere. Pete hit his second fish on a red tipped dick nite and I got two on a 50/50. Biggest was around 11 lbs. Tried hard for our limits but couldn't seal the deal. Great day with no rain and the sun popped out in the afternoon. Really should rate the day a five but what would you call a day if we limited......a six? Tight lines!

We got the first one on a wiggle wart in "fire tiger" plug and the other three on dick nites...one was chrome with a red tip and I got my two on a 50/50 wee dick nite. A passer-by said we should be on the dick nite fishing team.....high praise for a couple guys that got lucky at the right time.
