First time on river was jigging for humpies on Wednesday towards Everett (no luck). Moved back towards boat launch and saw a few pulling silvers out.

Saturday decided to go for silvers instead. On water around 8am and headed towards Monroe. Trolled with green/red wiggle and red/silver wiggle, no bait and no luck. Again saw others pulling both humpies and silvers out. Went far up river as tide was in, anchored and tried casting with dick nite 50/50 spoons. Again, all around us they seemed to be pulling something up; however I was skunked. Tide went out so we trolled some more towards Everett and still had nothing.

It rained in the later morning and then started again when we got off around 6pm. While fishing, I checked what others were having luck with and they indicated plugs and dick nite's (same I was using), plus one guy said corky's.

I was really hoping to catch one today but alas, no. Good time enjoying the elements and seeing the size of the fish everyone else was pulling up. I'm hoping to go out again during the week. Maybe some sun will cheer the fish into the boat!

I fished for six hours Saturday with not even a bite as well, Not many fish in the lower Snohomish. The week before Silvers were everywhere and I caught my first.

@strider43: Hmm... Is that river not a good one to fish now? As I've only been on it twice now and haven't fished other areas, does it have to due with the rain and tide? Or do the silvers only come in with the humpies? I know the humpies are at the end of their run (which I've missed). Will you be going out again on it to try your luck? My schedule won't allow me out to fish again for about a week and a half (bummer).

@knotabassturd: I'm hoping to get more of the good fishy ones for sure!

jockovonred, the river may still be good to fish, there was more activity a week ago. I went to the Stilly Sunday and found more fish bitting. When I was on the Snohomish Saturday I didnt see many fish on the fish finder where I was, I did see one LRG school right where some folk were bank fishing, I caught one there lines on a trolling pass. More fish will come in when it rains.you never know about when the fish are done coming in to a river system. The silvers are known for shooting up to the higher portions of the river.
