2 Day Report.

Thursday: Hit the river and went 1 for 1 on silvers. Nothing to exciting that day pretty slow overall. Not even that many fishermen on the river. Dick Nite was the key.

Saturday: Noted that the amount of fish coming in wasnt any better than Thursday even with the nets out. Even with the low number of fish people were still getting some. Out of the 20 or so people in my area i saw 12 fish landed in about 3 hours. Went 1 for 2 on silvers and once again it was the Dick Nite on my new favorite color. Should have landed the second fish but i tied a lousy knot. I did a small run and a few head shakes then i felt the dreaded release and i knew it was the knot breaking. I tied that knot 3 times and the 3rd time i just went with it and i knew it want up to snuff so i paid the price. The water was pretty high even at low tide which i thought was odd they must be messin with the tap up at the dam. I watched one guy fall in the river from the top of the bank and another guy lose his fish he had up on the bank as it flopped back into the water. Get some waders fellas nobody on the Green ever seems to be wearin waders.

chengpu: I keep hearing that the Dick Nite is the key to fishing the Duwamish. What size Dick Nite are you using, and what is a half and half that I hear so much about? Are you trolling with this lure or just casting and retrieving? I've only fished the Duwamish once, which was 9/1/11 and I loved the pink action. Would try more but not sure of the set-ups. I fished the river across the street from Boeing Field.

I hear you on the waders and would prefer to use mine but my 15 minute fishing stints make that a no go. I could spend 15 minutes just getting into mine and tying up the boots. lol

Ditto ib's comment on waders. Have 'em in the car, rarely use them with time constraints. Maybe I'll fall in and change ;-) Nice coho chengpu! And your littler one there looks impressively excited for holding a fish :-) Hopefully she'll be catching them in a couple years. Dang starting to see coho in reports, may need to do an islandbass 15 minute recon show just to look see on the Duw. Thanx for the report and pics!

Grizz: The best size to use is a #0 (wee size) or #1. The half/half is really called the 50/50 and its half silver/brass (or copper). I just drift fish them with a slow retrieve.
