Headed out at day break and made some casts in slow water up from the Gardener Rd launch. Caught eight Humpies and released five that were too dark. Used a pink Wicked Willie. My fishing partner tried for silvers with various lures including Dick Night and Vibrex, but no luck for any Silvers. I didn't see anyone else with any Silvers either. The river has come up a bunch since last week, and the water color is still good.

Glad you did so well fishing for pinks. We fished it hard yesterday on the Snohomish during the incoming tide and only managed two.

This was one of my best days. We even had a double hook up. At first I thought we were crossed up. I reeled mine in close enough to see is was a buck and then shook it off so I could help with my partners. He thought it was a big silver or a king. It was like he hooked a log, but this log shook and first moved up river, then down. I tied a dock bumper to the anchor line and let it loose, fired up the engine and backed down the river after the fish. The fish when over to the bank hoping to loose us in shallow water. When we finally got in close,(20 minutes) we found a very big humpy buck hooked right in the hump. Dang! Can't wait for the silvers
