Had a few hours to kill before my 2 football teams were going to get beat on TV, so I went to check out a spot I have not fished in Tukwila (BECU raea). No idea if I would get into fish, but it is close to work so I wanted to check it out so I can stop by after work now that I am cutting back on my part time eveniong job. When I was walking down at about 9 o'clock, saw 3 different people come out empty handed. Asked if the were releasing everything and all 3 of them said no fish. Didn't look possible to drift a corkie so I tied on a spoon. After about 20 minutes, I had a fish on shore. Nice chrome pink salmon hen. In my hour or so, that was the only fish I saw landed. I did see a sea lion or seal (didn't know they would go that far), and the back of what must have been a king break the water. About the time I was ready to go, I saw a fish chase my spoon into about 10 inches of water about 6 feet off shore. Interested me enough to keep fishing for another 15 or 20 minutes. Missed the 1st quarter of the Seahawk game, which was just like the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Had a fun morning and found a new spot.
