Took my ladies out today and tried the Skagit for the first time this year. We tried to launch at the spud bar but it was tied up for over a half hour with the nets being unloaded. One guy ahead of me was trrying to get his boat out and I didn't feel like waiting any longer so we headed back towards town and launched at the one there. I think it's called Memorial Park? We took a ten minute boat ride and met up with my Dad and two of his buddies. They were using bait divers with wicked willies and had lost one and had another in the ice chest. My Dad had just switched over to using a jig and boated two right away so we went up from them and dropped the anchor. My Wife, Daughter and I starting throwing our jigs and had four fish in the first six casts! It was pretty much non stop action for the two hours we fished until we got our three limits. Fish were rolling around the boat and against the bank quite often. Watched a few guys almost take out the nets that were almost all the way across the river. We had a great time and got home with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day.
