well got to the ramp maple st. about 6:15 am, put the rubber boat in. we carryed it down. went down by the 9 bridge and metered alot of fish. tide was not all the way high so we fished sand shrimp, yep had my 6ft 4 buddy in the rubber 8 ft. he got a nice big male then another nice big male, then i got 3 back to back hens, nice size. caught alot of smaller pinks and let them go, pretty much stayed at the 9 bridge all day, tide got maxed and the biat bite shut down. moved across the river and sat there started throwing pink w/ white jigs and nothing, so greg from gregs tackle sold me some koanee bait a bit ago and one was the green glow powerbait balls. putone of them on the jig and every other cast i was hooked up as my buddy Chris was fishing the same jig no egg. i kept 1 more and had my limit but must have released 20. Chris still only had the 2 males so we egged his jig up and boom he got 2 more keepers and released a bunch. it was a great day, great weather. we headed back to the ramp and emptyed the rubber boat, the line was long as hell all the way up to the light by the tackle shop area. a guy in a jeep just dunked his boat and he said throw it on my trailer i will give you a ride up, how cool was that, thanks for the ride we were wore out . went home filleted them up and i make a blacking season i used to make when i owned a seafoos joint so we blackened them up and they were very good eating as most people think not. going to go this weekend ( to many motorcycles to fix this week, i am retired master tech and do some work at home to support my fishing habit) want to get some for the smoker!!!! i love wa. and the people here are so nice and helpfull compared to San diego!!!
