9/2/2011 5:27:00 PMIf you check the regs, bait is legal as of Sept.1 from I-405 Down. I was fishing by I-5 so I'm legal.

So as I read it the 1/2 inch hook size reg also gets lifted in this stretch although the antisnag and night closures stay in effect. My barbless gamak hooks are just over 1/2 inch so was worried I'd be stuck with the cheapo jig hook. I sometimes cut the jig hook off and just tie on a gamak below the hookless jig. My secret sauce is in the flask ;-)

9/2/2011 11:29:00 PMSheesh! Check your regs people, they lift the bait ban when the kings are supposed to be done. Really shouldn't jump down throats when you're wrong and don't know it. Nice haul from the green! Now that the upper river is opened we might see the fishermen spread out a bit so we can get a little more space. Here's to hoping.
