Can You Say...CHROME?
A phenomenal day of fishing today, many things today made this a memorable trip. The first one, it takes many years for a salmon or steelhead angler (usually) to get there "First Cast Fish" it took my 4 years of salmon fishing, today I got my first cast fish. i got a 16.15 pounder on my first cast. A very nice hatchery hen. I also got my first limit of kings today. I got to the river at about 9 this mornin, first cast BAM. 16 Pounds and 15 ounces. About 20 minutes later, hooked another, lost this one, i went 3/15 today. Released a wild. My 2nd fish that I landed at about 1:30, it took me all over the dang river. Up and down this fallen tree in the water, had my blood pumpin! Best day of fishing ive had.I was on the water by 9, and was leaving with a limit at 1:40. I was using a 7 foot leader, a size 1/0 hook, black yarn, and a small green corky. Thanks to everyone who has gave me tips on fishin on this site ! I really appreciate it, it felt good to be "That Guy" today !
16.15 Pounds For the first one.
And 14.56 for the other.
Oh, forgot to mention that both of the fish I landed, both still had sea lice
