Decided to drive up Bethel Ridge Rd, turned off going towards McDaniel Lake and stopped at the bridge. Fished about a mile of the river. The way downstream we fished hoppers and didn't get a thing. Decided to switch before we headed back upstream and went with small gnats/duns; brown, grey, black. Started hitting them one after another. In a span of 3 minutes I hooked 3 and landed two. The rest were a bit more evened out the rest of the day. The river is at a really nice level right now. Holes around the bridge area are mixed between 3-6 feet and the temperature is really nice. Just waded in shorts the whole day. The cuts were mixed between 6-9 inches. Really made me wish I was using a 2 weight rod but we had a blast. I think this is one of the most underappreciated canyons in the area, and the river produces fish.
