Had the day off so the wife and I headed up to the PO for some more Pike action and we finally got into some, the first 30 min was non stop action, almost one on every cast. The wife lost a very big one that took her under the boat and before she could set her drag, bang, busted line! She was able to catch a few more including this nice 30" 7 lber, she wouldn't hold it while it was still alive, there's just something about those teeth! All fish seemed pretty fat so we kept a few in the 25-30" range. I caught another nice one that went 36". We lost count at 10, probably had about 15-20 to the boat. A great afternoon of fishing, bald eagle watching and even saw a baby Elk.

After chatting back in forth for the last year it was nice to finally meet you guys out @Silver a few weeks back. Good work on the toothies by the way. Pat , Joe & I were up there last week & caught a couple 3-5 lbers (Pike) but didn't get much else. One small LMB & a bunch of dink SMB. River seemed pretty fast, which makes boat control tuff. Good Luck & Keep Fishin

Thanks Bill, it was nice to meet you too, hope to see you out on the water sometime. We've been running into other Wa'lakers at other lakes too, briefly met Craig Dowdy (Yankin Jaw Guide Service) and the Fishin Fool post Musky tourney at Newman a few weeks back, very nice folks (thanks for the bag of... Fishin fool). We're hoping the river slows a bit too, we'll find out this afternoon, I'm taking the afternoon off from work and heading up there. The wife love's the fight in these Pike too, reeling and peeling! She had quite the experience, had one viscous attach on her lure right by the boat, knocked her on her backside and scared the you know what out of her! It's quite the workout when you boat a few too, I haven't hit the weights in a awhile so we were pretty sore the next day! We'll keep on fishin!

@hewesfishter, the fish fry was excellent! Did them up in beer batter chunks along with some halibut we got from a friend at work, the wife did her great tarter sauce, even the grandkids couldn't stop eating them! Believe it or not the Pike was actually better than the halibut!
