Hit the water with Mark K. Just minutes in and I hooked into an approx. 25inch northern on a shad rap but she spit the hooks at boatside. Had a few other hits on cranks and spoons. Tried another slough and the bite was pretty tough but a bit later the switch flipped and we were catching them pretty quickly but it was a rather small window. Spoons were the ticket,at least they were for about 15 minutes lol. Not the hottest fishing but certainly a great time.
Sorry if I'm forgetting more info,it was a long drive home but looking forward to being back on the river soon.

That's a good looking fish and better looking water than I saw yesterday. I was at the river all day yesterday. Visibility was liimited, even in the main river. I was not able to locate much weed growth in the main river withoug being able to see. The sloughs were all very low visibility to. Campbell seemed the clearest. Davis Creek looked like a cesspool/warzone. Saw one dead pike and a smalll dead crappie in there. I did get 6 pike though, all small. Happy Fishing

Kevin thanks for making it over to the tournament, it was great to finally meet you. We fished yetserday to and found alot of fish but not alot of takers. Seemed like all they wanted to do was sunbath. We ended up with 7 Pike nothing over 30" lost a few others and 5 largemouth the biggest Bass being about 5lbs. The water reports say the river hasnt dropped that much the last 4 days but the water in the sloughs and main river tell a diffrent story. Good luck fishing everyone

We ran into another boat at the Cusick launch that said Campbell was pretty productive and they were primarily sight fishing. I noticed that these fish all had a pretty decent girth from my previous trip about a month and a half ago. Theres just so many places on this river to work, every spot looks like it could hold that 25lber. Hey Craig, thanks again. I had a blast fishing with you and the club. Really well run event but more importantly fun. Was also pretty happy to net Mark's first tiger. I look forward to your upcoming Pend Oreille pike tourney.I will have to give you a call about a future walleye trip too
