Went back to my fishing hole on the Sky and lost a few but did manage to land this Chinook. Also released a small 16" Dolly after a good little fight with her. Another awesome day on the river =) Lived in Sequim on the Peninsula for the last 15 years, so now living here its nice to find a river that is somewhat comparable to produce some fish like the Peninsula rivers did for me over there... Lol.

Nice! I would love to kind of know what area too. I love fishing with spinners over the jigs I've been using.

If I had a boat I'd probably try the Snohomish, but dunno just seems so vast and snaggish... Haha. I mostly prefer the smaller streams or rivers and ones where I can hike along scouting for any activity as I fish the holes =) I love fishing ultra light with a Mepps Spinner, my favorite lure hands down for the past 20 years. I like to work the area from the mouth of the Wallace to just below and around Cracker Bar. If you walk to the rightside at the Sultan bridge and follow along there are fish that hold there also and not bad bank fishing but be prepared to lose a few. Lol. Walk the trail along for quite a ways after paying the farmer a buck in his can, and you then can hike down river and scout the holes. I won't disclose my favorites, but morning is obviously the best and the fish being active and jumping about gives away there location at least for the moment. I've actually been trying for Steelhead but been getting lucky so far and getting a few Kings. Some seem pretty big since there snapping my 10 lb test like its nothing so gonna put on some 17 lb and try again in the morning maybe near the mouth of the Wallace then =)
