Wow! what a great day on the amazing Wynochee River!

we got out at 400AM at blackcrk boat launch and we took off to a different boat launch that i don't remember. Fishing was slow and then we hit one out of the 25 holes and fish on! i battled this fish for 10 minutes and we bring him to the net and it takes off again! and i keep fighting this bad boy! and actually bring it to the net and our guide nets him and tells us it's a hatchery fish, and he asked me if i wanted to bonk him. bam! we bleed him and put him on ice.

fishing was slow for awhile. after the spill about 1 mile later our guide tells us, " this is our last resort hole" he was right after 20 mins fishing the hole my dad's pole goes WHAM!!!! FISH ON!!! a huge fish was on at the other end of his line. This fish was doing flips everywere! and finally netted him it was a good 11 1/2 pounder fishing was dead after that

tackle used was a diver with coon shrimp with two hooks and a metal thing to straighten the shrimp out.

There is nothing that fights like a summer run steelhead, and you can't catch steelhead brighter than those.

Nice job EAmon! Those are called sea lice, they attach to the fish in the salt - from what I understand, they only live in the fresh water about 24 hours before falling off - which means your fish is fresh from the salt!
