Was allowed a few hours to fish today. Decided to go try the Sky for steel. Have only fished there once and that was years ago. Thought maybe the fishing gods would smile upon me being father's day and all......Got up there about noon and circled the river between the Lewis Street bridge and Sultan looking for a spot on the bank. From what I read, it sounded like there was a lot of bank access on the south side of the river there, but I sure couldn't find much of anything. It didn't help that the river was running high. Now short on time and not wanting to waste anymore driving around, I ended up back at the Lewis Street brige on the north side by the boat launch. Hardly an ideal place for a drift. Spent an hour and a half there floating mostly jigs in various colors and also tried a pink worm near the end. From what I heard on the boats coming in, it didn't sound like anyone was having much luck out there, but did hear of one big King being brought in that the WDFW checked out. Headed home at 2:30. Dropped by the the mouth of the Tolt river on the Snoqualmie on the way back and tried drifting my pink worm through there (after pinching down the barb), but the high water wasn't doing me any favors, so packed it in after 30 minutes.

Sounds like it was tough fishing all over the Sky Sunday - we were banking it upstream from you all morning and got nothing but wet.
