Well it was a beautiful day, so I hit the river for some Pike fishing at Ashton Feltcher bay, The launch was in great shape, the river was in great shape, water temp was ok (36.1 to 36.5), the ice was pretty much gone in the bay, the only thing that sucked was the fishing. lol
I didn't get a single hit on the herring under slip bobber, I also cast swimbaits and jerkbaits with no hit or fallows either..
I fished the same way, in the same spot and same water temps last week and did very well. So not sure what was up today, but it was nice to get out on the water. Only problem I hadall day was I found out when I got to theboat launch I had left the bilge pump on all week and my starter battery was dead as a door nail, and the big motor would not start. So I had to switch it over to one of my trolling motor batteries and just ran the trolling motor on 24 volts instead of the 36 volts it's suppose to run on. It worked as I didnt have to move the boat much once i got to the bay.
