Tried the stilly again on friday. There was a net in the river in a spot, I never saw a net before. When I saw that my hopes went down. The spot I like to fish is up river of the area net was at. Seemed slower and less people, with about 6-10 people fishing at any given time in that area of the river that I was fishing. I fished the area on the west side of I-5. Did not see nearly as many fish jumping as last time. Fished for a few hours without seeing anyone catch anything. Just as I was about to move down river I finally hooked one. After a nice little fight I got it to shore and it was another chum, although a bright one and again had lots of sea lice. After releasing it I hoped the action would pick up but it was still dead. After about an hour I saw someone fight one for a short bit and then lost it, not sure if a chum or silver. I decided to head on out and try a couple spots on the way out. I got down to one spot where a guy I had fished with earlier was fishing and he had nice bright silver about 8 or so pounds. I decided to give it a try just down from him. After a couple cast I had one jump right where my dick nite landed, just after starting my retrieve. SLAM...fish on...my thought the whole fight, it's a silver, don't horse it...take your time.. don't lose it..it gets kinda close and looks pretty bright...the guy with the silver comes over and says, looks like a big silver. Then I get it to shore and it is another chum. The chum was bright with very little color and one side of it was scarred up from what looked like a seal attack. looked like it weighed about 12-13 pounds. Let it go and just shortly after that someone on the other side and up river caught one and it was a chum also. Straight accross river from me was a women and kid(maybe 4-6yo)fishing, she hooked and lost a couple fish and then hooked one and landed it....again a chum but was glad to see her land one. Only saw 5 fish caught the whole time I was there, 2 of which I caught.
I don't want to complain since the last 4 times out I have caught fish.....just wishing I could have a day with silvers!!!!

BoyzLie---you did great, landing a salmon in a spot like that is tough. When you got it close I was worried your boy might jump in after it. I saw him try and "set the hook" a couple times(prior to you catching)...looked like he knows what he is doing and likes it! I wanted to see him hook one.
