Another outstanding(ly crappy) day on the Snoho looking for silvers. Launched around 9am at Rotary about an hour before high tide. One dude down at the dock fishing had been there several hours with no strikes/no fish. Ran upriver just below the city in an area I have seen fish holding the last 2 weeks. Ran into a gentleman having lunch and we talked about the fishery for a few before I starte trolling upriver. He had not seen a single jumper, and no sooner than I put my plugs down and started motoring a nice 8 or so pound hen flies up out of the water right next to use, I pointed it out and hollared to the guy and we both had a chuckle. Trolled a variety of offerings from spinners and spoons, to plugs (wiggle warts, hot shots, and hot-n-tots), as well as cut plug herring. Between 9-11am we saw several fish jumping but had no takedowns whatsoever. Around noon I think there was a good tug on the cutplug, but no hookup.... could have been a silver, could have been a ghost, we will never know. As soon as the tide started going back out the fish quit jumping and the action was as slow as ever. Targeted water from 9-30ft deep and everything between. Saw one ZOMBIE BOOT king barely motoring along on the surface.... also saw some AHOLE on the shore casting his spinner at the poor old guy trying to snag him "just for the fight". At any rate, the fish aren't in the lower system yet, and from what I have seen there are MORE fish in the upper stretch of the Snoho right now until the next push of fish decides to show.

I think I am going to give this river a break for a bit, I am tired of the long uneventful trips. LOL!

Beginning to look like the run is a no show. We've been discussing the run or lack thereof on the satlwater forum. Sekiu has been absolutely lousy. This summer there were lots of Chinooks in the ocean but few silvers. Fishchecker report for Sekiu:
