Saturday morning I volunteered to help a fellow WL member with his FF. He has the same basic unit I have and his wouldn’t draw arches so I agreed to help him out. We launched my boat on the Skagit in Mount Vernon and started metering around in a number of my go to spots for Coho. I’m thinking, odd…mine wouldn’t draw arches either. What’s up with this, then like the dawning of a new age it comes to me. There were no fish in the river! Whew! And I was thinking that my fish finder was messed up. When are these fish going to come home? There are 95,900 wild coho forecasted to return to the Skagit system this year. You would think that a few would be in the river now. Oh well, in a couple weeks you will be able to walk across the river on the backs of all those fish. Today we back trolled plugs and drift fished both corkies and spoons without a fish.

Saw the indians nettin the river last week, thats why there is no fish. Before that it was hit and miss and saw a bunch of jumpers, this weekend and tonight only saw two jumpers.
