I fished the Skok for the first time ever from about 6:20 am to noon. I only saw one fish caught and it was looking really worn down. I walked up, and hiked along side, about two miles of the fishable river along Purdy Cutt-off Road (I spent a lot more time hiking and scouting holes than fishing). I observed a lot of chinook but they 1) had total lock-jaw and 2) at least 3/4ths are pretty dang dark at this point. Beautiful river, nice people-- unfortunately a lot of people trying to openly sight-floss though... however today I think they would of had to pry the salmons' mouths open with a crowbar and actually throw the hook in to stand a chance.
