Hit Reiter Ponds on the South side of the river this morning to take a shot at the summer runs. Got there are 6am got up on a good rock and started casting. I had yet to catch a steelhead and after seeing 5 hookups and 4 landed on the north side of the river I figured today wasn't going to be the day, then about 7:30 my float took a dive I set the hook and the fight was on. After a couple of short runs, 3 or 4 airials, and a moment of panick on my part as I figured out how to get off that big ol rock without breaking my leg, falling into the river or losing the fish it was over and I had my 1st steelhead on the stringer. I continued fishing until 10am and didn't see another one caught. And now I can also say I caught a fish as big as my kid!

That picture is priceless. I have a similar one with one of my kids and have it on the wall. Years from now the whole family will still enjoy a photo of that quality. Great job and so glad the run is still going strong.

Definitely a great photo! I gotta agree with Matt on this one though, any day you can tug on a steel head that chrome is a four star day.

Thanks all, yeah my daughter was fascinated by the fish. kzoo - I'm a better fisherman than that - It was actually cast #4367 (got all my casts out of the way trying for winters). You all are right - personally it was a 5-star morning, the ratings seem to go by quantity instead of quality ;)
