i was there also at 2:00pm and fish every ware kings steel head i counted 13 fish cot 7 kings 6 steel head but me nada

After further review, I don't think I'll invest in one of those 15ft rods. That guy tied up the hole for over 15 minutes landing his fish. Anyways, we'll be running it back, I'll let you know. That spot we had is a good spot.

@rugrats6: Where did you see all these fish? We left around 11am and 2 guys on the island got 2 and only 1 was caught by us bankies...13 fish? Are you talking about the entire Cowlitz River or just at Barrier?

just at the dam out beyond the swampy spot and at the lunch the i was on the bank at the pont.... :)

Well, Rugrats6 comment of 13 fish caught kind of got me excited. Thinking maybe we left just a little too early on Sunday. I went out today to check it out around 1:30 pm and fished BD and by the launch with a big fat NADA, didn't see anyone catch anything, I even talk with other anglers and no such luck until around 5:30pm, one older fellow caught a nice springer approx 20#, beautiful chrome, I offered to help net but my net was too small and another angler had a bigger net and help netted it. He was drifting eggs and the hook set was perfect in the mouth. He was using a 12-13 ft rod, why would you use such a long rod? That was the only fish caught from 1:30pm - 5:30 pm. What a joke. Hey Rugrats6, do you know what they were using to catch those 13 fishes? Just curious if you saw what they were using. It was not my day obviously, and 13 other anglers except for the 15th lucky jerk.

I think i know the guy youre talkin about. Last time I was there he did the same thing, tyin up the hole all day playin his fish. Was this time last year, I think hes using 4lb test.
