Since most the local rivers were blown out I took a long drive to the N. Fork of the Lewis River to see what it was like. I have never been there. I checked the gauge before I left home and they let water out of the dam at midnight. I got into the water about 6am and left 8:30am. I glow-balled in the dark and at daylight switched to bobber and jig. I didn’t see any fish or anyone with fish. I thought the color of the river was beautiful but I couldn’t tell what the visibility was since I was in it.

That's some hard fishing Toni, but you're out there and the connection will happen. Good luck

yeah the north fork is almost done for winter fish especially with this high fast water. but i herd that there were springers going over bonneville dam already so i guess there may be springers in the river anytime soon. when i was coming home from work today the water looked great as usual especially with the high fast water. i think if the rain stops we may have 1 good weekend left.

Got the report that the fish started biting after I left. FISHINROB brought one home.
