Let me start by saying most of the people here are not skilled at fishing. This is a good kiddy pond. That being said I waited for people to start to leave. Got there at around 3:30 and started fishing after 4:30. Till about 5:15. I fished just below the bridge where the tree limbs hang over before the lil stump. Tossed it under the branches and drift it a sec fish on! One after another. In a 45 min period I landed about 15 fish. Hooked into over 25 of em. Only snagged 3 that I landed. I was using 1/8 ounce of lead 2 ft leader purple yarn no corky. Most fish I seen landed was foul hooked. I had to put my baitcaster up and grab my spinning rod. Not much room to fish here at all. All and all not a bad time fishing but I think It will be my last trip there. My one and only.

Yeah, the chum are thick right now pretty much anywhere where there's 3+ feet of water. It's fun to get the first several hookups, but since there's no room to play with them, the action gets boring after awhile. Also, most of the fish are darkies. I think I'll hit the Puy to try to get chromer chums and to avoid getting hit by weights and hooks when people next to me are pulling so hard and the chum spits the hook or the fouled hook comes loose.

This is exactley what you should expect at minter creek for the next few weeks. I was also using just purple yarn, but no weight. Sounds like the exact same spot too :)
