After a knock down, drag out pink fishery and sort of a silver run on the lower Green, near Boeing-Tukwilla over the last month I was hankering for another slam dunk fishing trip. I hit up WashingtonLakes.com for some info. The Auburn Golf Course was mentioned here with good reports, further up the Green. I took the bait and ran with it on up river to the area around the golf course. Of course bait isn't allowed on this part of the Green. That didn't matter! The pinks were slamming the hell out of the sherbert(#12 orange corky and pink yarn) Yee Haw! What a kick in the pants. I hit multiple spots around the golf course and met success at every stop. The fish weren't brite silver like the ones we were catching just a couple weeks earlier down river but they will still be fair for canning and smoking. I'm a newby at river fishing for salmon so this has been a real joy. Never have I found it so easy to catch so many salmon. I'm hooked and searching for new areas to fish. Thanks for all of the great info WaLks anglers!

Did you see any silvers? Saw reports of them downstream from you at North Green River Park and Isaac Evans Park, so I'd figure that there should be some silvers where you were at.

I only caught pinks but they were fun. I only kept one. The rest were foul hooked. they are hugging the far bank where the rocks and branches are. I found if you bounce your corkie off the rocks your in the zone. Also please read the donmans post about the snagger and my reply.
see you all next saturday.
