Went to the Green River today to catch pink salmon. Fishing was good we limited out in about 2 hours. I took my daughter's friend who is from Trinidad and had never gone salmon fishing before. He had a blast catching pinks and wants to go out again. We went to Isaac Evans Park and fished for a couple of hours and did quite well. We tried the orange corkies and yarn to no avail. I switched to a trout pattern, pink, white and olive with black dots and black yarn. I also used a cranberry color corky with chartruse strips and black top and bottom with black yarn. It also was a good producer. The darker colors worked well today, weather was overcast cool but no rain. The only downer for today was Donman was supposed to go and could not get out today. Too bad Bro, you missed a good day out.

Wish I was there with you guys. I'm going to try and head out there on Saturday. Hopefully I'll do as well. Maybe Rondell would like to go, since he's an expert now :)

Great report ronman! Wish I lived a little closer, kinda hard to make it up there every weekend from Vancouver! lol Oh well, at least I was able to fish the Puyallup earlier, caught several pinks there. Might try to make it up there Saturday, I've never fished the Green, hopefully the fish won't shut down before then.

Tight lines!

Donman, I will pass on your request to Rondell and maybe you guys can go out.
Flyfisherguy, it was the first time I fished the Green River too. It was a whole lot of fun and would like to go back again. I talked to some guys who are tired of catching pinks, but I like them especially smoked. Either way a good day fishing is still a good day. Tight lines to all.

Pinks or silvers, I don't care I just love fishing. I'll be at the Isaac Evans Park Saturday morning (Lord willing) and hopefully SOMEONE could come with - we'll see.

Nice report ronman. Those pinks actually look decent, compare to what other people were reporting. Did you see any silvers or kings?

Kinghunter, one guy caught a silver but we did not see any kings. Maybe the recent rains will have brought some more fish upriver.
