Arrived at the river around 5:30pm, not much action until later in the evening around 7-7:30pm. Jens arrived around 6pm and we both had fish on but couldn't land them. I did finally land my King around 7:45pm and I was fighting with the fish for about 10 minutes and Jens really did not want to help with the netting, I pretty much had to beg for him to help me, man what a friend. The King was approx. 27" and approx.15#s, Jens took the measurement so I'm not sure if that is accurate. Anyway Jens also had a fish on his line, but left his bale open and was using his cellphone and did not get to set the hook, poor Jens (I guess that's what you get for not fishing). It was much slower today and I think maybe it was due to the Indians netting. The guy across from us landed 3-4 fish so he was doing something right. Oh I did see a seal in the river, just when I arrived and then it was gone, maybe he was full. Are we allow to shoot the seals in the river? The river is full of fish, you can see them jumping all over. Kee you lines tight and don't use your cell phone if you want to catch fish, right Jens?

as far as seals go. ive been told you are alowed to use none lethal force, such as paintball guns, airsoft or a well aimed rock. but no killing. unless maybe you can get a license to hunt them. that might be cool. is seal good eating?

I'd do a lot more research before attempting to use paintballs or any of the other methods on a seal. Definitely don't just take words on a bulletin board for gospel.

Well here is the truth. I just had one on but lost it, Kinghunter was down from me. I fought the fish for a few minutes, but it came off while my setup came back at me I noticed I was all tangled up at the tip. I had to get out of my spot, find my headlight so I could see...well sneaky little Kinghunter moseys his way into my hole and his first cast gets his fish..His smirk on his face made me want to cast over his line and tangle him up. I overcame my jealousy and competiveness to help a good friend out. I still had visions of him halfa&&ing the net job on my pig from last sunday that was creeping in my mind..it still stings. lol-
