I know you guys are jealous of my hair!
Went back down to 1st Ave bridge again, this time I went with a buddy and no kids As soon as we arrived my buddy realized he forgot his pole, then the rain pushed in and we just about sank. It was a good thing for my buddy that I brought two poles and we were prepared for rain.
If you Puyallup River guys want a break from wading out to your neck and then using your net for a hat, you should head down there. I hooked about thirty or so, but they were a little dark this time (most still had sea lice). There was harldy any boats and fish everywhere. Jig style doesn't matter just short quick pops with the jigs and they can't resist them. When your jig is at the boat swim it around just like with musky I had about 4 hit right at boat. The more erratic the better.
I have been using a 5 1/2 ft ultra light with 6lb p-line and the fish are HOT! I broke off 2 but one was caught on the oar and the other was a poor knot. Don't forget to loosen the drag with light line. The pic was from last week, I was too lazy to down load camera.
Get out there and stretch some string!
