After dropping off Robyn at work yesterday morning I fished Lake Wilderness east of Kent. It was a blast, released lots of little ones and caught one really big one. He fought well, taking lots of line at the initial hookup and each time that he approached the boat and I'm sure he will taste great when I cook him up today, salmon colored flesh. I figure he was one of the 750 triploids that the state released into the lake. I trolled my favorite setup with worm 30 pulls behind the boat at a dead slow troll, 1-3 on the electric trolling motor depending on whether I was going with or against the wind. It was kinda a blustery day. The state planted 10,000 little ones into this smaller lake, they seemed to be concentrated at each far end of the lake. Lots of submerged logs in the water along the shore and north end of the lake. Watch your gear! No sign of the kokanee that might be in this lake. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'll fish this lake again someday soon!
Semper Piscatorial!
