Fished the Skoke for the first time this year, from 7 A.M. to 2 P.M wasn't as hot as I expected it to be,but there were a lot of fish in the river. I hooked 3 and landed one, the 2 I lost were foul hooked until I got that 3rd 15lb. buck in the mouth. Saw quite a few fish brought up from the cedar hole, I fished right above the Y by the old pilings above where the indians are snagging. There was a big group of fish holding up there, but getting them to actually hit it was the challenge.Purple corkie and black yarn or vice versa as usual. The water is very slow moving even at a really low tide, you can't feel your weight bouncing off the bottom anywhere, that also made it a little more difficult. Hopefully some rain will bring up new fish, lots of chrome BIG fish jumpin. All in all it was an okay day.
