Went to the Green this morning right by the entrance to Flaming Geyser. Fished for 3 hours had no bites at all. I tried worms but the water was moving way too fast, kept ripping the bait off of my hook. I tried to use shrimp, that didn't work either. I'm learning to use yarn and corkie, but if anyone has any suggestions let me know.

I was just there today too. The water isnt to fast it is perfect. Steelhead like fast moving water it gives them cover from predators. Too keep your bait on the bottom where they are and not moving down river too fast you should use more weight and to keep your bait on your hook use an "egg loop" knot to hold it on there. To learn how to tie that you can look it up online. Hope this helps. Good luck.

you can fish metzler park, kanaskat palmer, flaming geyser, and the park under hwy 18 at the end of green valley road Kenjkun-

I caught a bunch of dinks opening weekend, really healthy rainbows at kanaskat. All on worms.

I know this is a post is a little old, but here is a link to a location I park at and hike down to the river. the trails are over grown but you can push through the brush easily.

hey man I use a larger corky on my leader just above the hook so it can slide above a large nightcrawler or a shirmp. I fish diff river though but it works every time for me. (I fish the Dosey andthe Duckabush in Brinnon) Try it its easy cheap and the fish love it. p.s. I only put about 1/4 once slide weight on so it can float down river. Find a whole go above it and let it float on in an pow!
