To each his own. I understand where george215 is coming from and I generally try and release the medium to trophy (30"+ for pike) fish to help promote a trophy fishery while keeping the smaller more plentiful fish for food. I don't know the sizes but the middle 3 looks like i would have released them. Either way nice looking fish schatzi442

Yes I do C&R But I also like to eat some fish and Pike is one of the best. My freezer was out of fish SO I kept some to eat. ME BAD.
The largest fish in the pics would push to be 31". I also use the bones skin and guts in the garden for fertalizer. TY Tuck (I don't know what btw means) but thank you and Lucius but I see now why people don't like to post reports and pics on here.

So we spend hundreds of dollars a year to catch fish, throw them ALL back and go to the grocery store and spend $10 on a couple rubbery looking farm raised trout? I'd pick fresh everytime. Good catch schatzi! BTW, BTW means by the way.

Please keep posting and showing your catch. Their are many of us who keep part of our catch to fill the freezer as well.
(Nothing wrong with that). It also helps to thin out the over population of the pike taking over some of our lakes. :-)
I'm hoping to bring my kids up to the Pend Orielle River to catch their first Pike and these posting help me plan out the trips.
I look forward to seeing more from you this fishing season.
Good fishing
