Went up to the river with my dad to see if the Pike and Smallies were starting to move shallow to feed for winter yet. We saw a few Pike and landed one 31.5 inches that was really fat. Tons of smallies cruising the shallows feeding on small bait fish. We caught a bunch in only two hours of fishing and had to take off. There still is some good action to be had up there. We saw a couple of lunkers that we could not get to bite on anything.

Great report and nice looking pike and smallie.
Any idea how the pike fishing is in the late fall and winter?

I would think that late fall would be good but I this is my first year fishing up there. I am headed up today so I will post how it goes. We saw a couple big smallies last time so I am hoping to hook into one of those and maybe get lucky and have some more Pike action.
