Rob and David told me to get to the river at dark 30 and fish as it is getting light. I would certainly get a fish. Well, what time is dark 30? I looked up when sunrise was “6:45am” for today. I was driving down to Orting when daylight crept up, so I didn’t need the cap lite I got for the walk to the river. There were 5 or 6 people already there. I used all different colors of corkies. The water visibility was about 7-10 inches. It was foggy out until about 11:00am. I saw 5 kings hooked, not one was brought in. There was 1 silver hooked that got off. It was like a rocket going all over to be lost in less than a minute. I did have a moment and OH what a feeling when I hooked a fish and it started to fight. The boy next to me saw it and then the hook came flying back at me. I looked at the hook and there was a scale on the tip so I showed it to the youngster. It was a large scale so it was probably a king.
I brought out a plastic bag of garbage line, but what is interesting is the net I put in the garbage. It had rope and a rock attached to it. It is a long way from the Indians. It was several feet long and 3-4 foot high, rock at the bottom and rope above.

Indians have netted the carbon for many years.

They have and it is highly illeagl to do so. anyone who puts a net in the Carbon needs to be hung, shot, tarred and feathered, dragged, well you get my point. Where did you find that net at Toni? Chances are though that is wasn't indians who put that net in. It was most likely someone who lives close by. There used to be a lot of that in there when I was a kid and now you only see it once in a while.

It was about a mile and a quarter up river from the mouth. It was at the head water of a hole I fish. A game warden came and asked us all if we caught anything and how long we had been fishing. I don't know if the guys at the headwater at that time told him about it. I moved up to the head when they left.
I also agree that it was not Indians. It may have been left behind because it didn't work? The Orting police drove down the dyke road while I was there. Maybe they do that at night, too?

haha that wouldn't surprise me. So you are just down from the treatment plant about 3 or 4 drifts then?
