well everybody i don't know what happened last year i was the hottest guy on the river every time i went down there. i only live about 2 min. from carbon so i go about three times a week. This year i can't catch a fish to save my life. I still go three times a week but i have only hooked one fish. I know there is fish in the river because the hatchery is full and they are jumping. As much as i complain i will always go back. There was a few guys on the river only one guy hooked fish, both were kings. he tried to horse the first one and broke it off. the second one he took a little more time with, but it came up tail first, and you could see a big yarn ball in between the tail and the (non-cut) adipose fin then he handed a camera to his buddy to take a pic. all the sudden he said "hey its is in the mouth my line just broke I'm keepin it." Can u imagine that, usually when my fish are in the mouth they come head first and you see the hook int the mouth. maybe my vision is going also, no I'm too young for that. Oh well at least it wasn't a net full of natives. I'm going to go later tonight my luck will change soon. gook luck every body else :)

Last year, for me, there were pinks in the river. More chance for a hook up. I also haven't a good hook up rate.
When a fish is tired and not fighting they come in head first.
