It was a nice warm evening. So me and a couple buddies from work decided to go fishing up the Mt Loop Hwy I haven't been fly fishing in a long time. I Told them about my previous experience there, and they seemed to be pretty excited. Anyways we got up there at about 630pm trecked through the woods, got stabbed in the eye by a flying branch, and got some good scraped up legs.:) When we finally got down to the river my buddy Yhen cast out a small chunk of crawler and first cast he hooked up, 9 or 10 inches. I was using crawlers for about and hour, I waded across the river and lost one of my shoes in the swift current, I only ended up hooking into 4 trout about 8 to 10 inches. It was time for flyfishing now, The sun went down and then I started rippin lips, I was casting way out under this fallen tree and that's where those things were hanging out, I will be back Sunday with flypole only, and I'm going to walk that river for a long ways. JUST A HINT, THE HONEY HOLES ARE UP PAST SILVERTON,,,
