Fished the green yesterday from 2:30 - 4:00. The green was running very fast and the water was really dark. It rained the whole time, my carthart was completely soaked and about twice as heavy as normal. For most the time I threw a green jig and a slip float, threw a black jig on the float as well. Also tried mikes spawn sac on the float and on the bottom. Even switched over to pautzke's for some white fish. Made about 3 casts got snagged lost my set up and called it a day. No jumpers and no bites.

Oops, this report is supposed to be for the Green River in King county. Not the Green River in Kittitas county.

yeah man the water is running high. use a single corky , red , glow........ lots of weight fish higher and use a short leader. stick with one thing and dont switch it up usually when you do that you lower your chances i think.

Haha. None of your reports are working. The wrong Green River, and an Issaquah Creek report.

i am waiting for the rain to stop and the wind to die down before i hit any river. i never had much success when it rains hard or the wind blows hard. on a calm winter day, i went to a river, and i saw steelhead actually rise up to the surface showing part of its head and back. it is spetacular! not quite, but almost like summer steelhead taking a dry fly.

Does anyone know the exact definition of a steelhead? I have heard a steelhead trout trout is a rainbow longer than 20 in. and some people say its a completely different species.
