Tough day, on the water with my wife Kim who took the day off to be with me on the water. Launched by the Vashon Ferry Dock just before first light and ran out to water around 100 to 120 feet. I dropped Kim down to 80 feet and I went to 55, we trolled up along the shore towards the Point. There were a dozen or so boats out off the Point and just as we entered the area with most of the boars Kim's line release and it was fish on. Unfortunately it turned out to a hatchery shaker somewhere between 17 to 20 inches so back it went. About 30 minutes later my pole went off and it was the twin of my wife's fish so back it went. We continue to fish this area for the rest of the tide and then cruised over to the Gig Harbor side to fish the incoming tide. We caught three more shaker's which were only 7 to 10 inches so we called it a day Just after 2 pm. When we got back to the launch I asked the attendant if he had seen any fish come in and replied not a one. On the bright side I got to spend most the day on the water with my wife an it couldn't have asked for a nicer fishing day no wind with some clouds until noon when it cleared out and not too crowded, a keeper or two would have been nice
