The family and I decided to go out to Sekiu for the week and try to hook some monster kings. We got out on the water on Wednesday afternoon and had no takers. Come Thursday morning around 5:30AM We started hooking fish no keepers all shakers till about 1:30 in the afternoon and we caught a 8LB king on a Green Hotspot flasher and glow hoochie. Then we decided to come in and hit it hard the next morning and we did. Friday Morning we got up and out on the water by 4:30 as soon as I got the lines set we hooked a fish and of coarse it gave a fight. After a while of getting doubles and a whole bunch of shakers a monster 20LB king takes my line and we have a fight for about 20-25 minutes finally land it and decide to go in for a while because after that fish it slowed down. Saturday morning we went out again at 4:30 but weirdly enough we didn't hook anything except a shaker the whole morning and decided to pull out, pack up, and head home. All in all the fishing trip was great defiantly coming back next year for more Sekiu action.

Thank you for the report. I was there for five days last week with 3 rods. Kinda spotty for us also. We hooked 9, landed 3 24-26" Blackmouth, 3 marked Chinooks 10-15 pounds and one unmarked Chinook that had to be 30 plus. Slower than normal so far this summer. .
