Fished 8-2 on Saturday. Good news bad news. Good news is I managed to catch 4 fish, bad news is all small, 22"range. Kept 1, c&r the other 3. All hatchery clipped fish. I say 22" range because if they are that small they don't even come in the boat. Quick measure on marks on side of boat. Keeper was about 23" and the only reason I kept that one is because he managed to poke a hook in his eye so he came home for dinner. They sure are pretty fish!!!

Fished west end of Hatt Isl and the bar at Elger Bay. Red Racer flasher and cookies n cream and herring aide spoons. Fish were in about 85 feet of water. Water was very muddy at Hatt and off color clear out to Elger. Got a little windy and bumpy a couple times but generally conditions weren't terrible.

Does look like their are a few fish being caught in 8-2 judging by reports. Hatt, Camano Head and Elger Bay. Area 9 not so good yet but a few.

You get any bite's at elger? I am boat challenged and been fishing their land locked for a couple of months and apparently bad luck. Any info of color or time would be good. I've been using buzz and some nite's green or pink with hoochies, mostly in a.m.

Yeah caught 2 at Elger. Little guys but what the heck its still fishin and its still fun!! Trolling the bar at the mouth of the bay. I dont have any ideas for bank fishing. Sorry cant help you with that one. Not sure where you are fishing but have heard there are searun cutts and maybe blackmouth caught off the bank by the state park. Im headed out to Elger again Saturday morning early to try outgoing tide. Tides look pretty good, lot of water flowing. See if maybe can hook something with some size. Never know. Got skunked Monday but the tides totally sucked. Thats my excuse anyway.
