My family had our annual picnic at Kayak Beach. We have been coming here since I was a kid. I decided to take the toon with me and I'm glad I did. The weather conditions were perfect. Calm waters, sunshine, and no breeze. I setup up at one of the tables and launched the toon from the beach. I used the same setup as yesterday when we fished Redondo with pink wiggle hoochie and sling blade. Started out in 200 FOW 35 ft down on the rigger. Five minutes later I see a bunch of marks a 50 so I dropped down and within seconds I had a fish on. Thinking this action was going to be like this all morning, I soon realized that was a mistake. No other strikes for the next 3 hours. Marked a few, most deep at 100-150 ft which may be kings or silvers?? Who knows. Anyways, from what everyone else was telling me I would say I was pretty lucky. Tight lines!!
