I was on station at possession Bank 4:30 AM to work the end of the flood/slack/early ebb tides. Tried a number of combinations, not action so started to change the game plan with a Green/Glow Spatterback AceHi Fly behind a 11" Pro Troll Green/Glow Flasher. Lowered the gear to 65 FT trolling into the ebb tide and get the first solid takedown of the morning. I netted a 10 LB clipped Chinook and that was that for my opening day. I watched others fight/net fish, radio chatter had other local spots also giving up fish. Worked the ebb until 9 AM and called it a day.
The water out at Possession was very clean, no seals seen. few birds but the ff showed bait & fish down there. Water temperature was 53 degrees.
The Chinook had Red Label sized herring in the stomach.
